Thanksgiving Day Weekend

Thanksgiving Holiday was a dream come true! Tami and Ly and Ryan and Allee came from SLC to Reno and Tasha and Talya, Ashlin and Chase came from Travis Air Force Base in Vacaville, (Sacremento) California and joined with Todd and Andrea Tolman and Tyler and Kate and Nikki and Charlie Tolman at Mom and Dad's house on Cielo Circle in Sparks, Nv.

Everyone was here except for our little Tori and Larry and sweetheart Ethan (1 yrs). They had Thanksgiving at their home in Sugar City, Illinois. Everyone contributed to the dinner and we had our turkey and dressing, pies and more pies, vegetables and potatoes al a Ly and we truly did feast and give thanks. We decided at that time that all that could would go to the Reno Temple, including Ryan, and do the work for Grandad, Nana and Uncle Charlie Buddenhagen. We overcame every obstacle, even got two babysitters and headed for the Temple. Ryan did the baptisms under his Dad's ordination for Grandad and Uncle Charlie. We were all able to witness this wonderful event and their was not a dry eye at the font. In fact, others not of our party came up and thanked us for the opportunity to partake of the wonderful spirit that was there.

We then proceeded to do the endownment and sealings for our loved ones. We missed our Tori and family, so we were sure to put her name on the prayer roll with Larry's name and Ethan, also - so we all felt present.

After leaving the temple 5 hours later we joined Todd and Ryan at a Thai restaurant and celebrated with wonderful food. After dinner we returned to Mom and Dad's home and played games with all the grandchildren participating and having a wonderful memorable time. The weekend went fast and on Sunday, Tami and Ly and Ryan and Allee returned to SLC and on Monday morning, Tasha and her three beautiful children returned to Travis after a 3 hour dri ve through Lake Tahoe. It was short, sweet and so very fulfilling time spent together. 'We shall never forgot why we are here. Our closeness to Grandad, Nana and Uncle Charlie just intensified and we could feel their appreciation for the love, tears and work that was completed
